Step into geosynchronous orbit as the Galactiv Active Space Servicer navigates, docks with a satellite and performs an orbit change maneuver.

The Challenge

Galactiv was raising their first round of funding and was getting requests from investors and contacts in the government that they produce a visualization of their technology so that it was easier to understand.

Approach

The Raconteur team created photo-realistic 3D models of the spacecraft and a satellite based on concept sketches provided by Galactiv. Then Raconteur created several short, dynamic animated shots of the Active Space Servicer running through different functions. The lighting and VFX in each shot were designed to be kinetic and visually impactful to captivate the viewer.

Results

Galactiv used the video on their website and on social media to announce their maiden mission goal. They received positive and awe-struck feedback that confirmed the video was successful in generating interest and engagement.
